CE obligations, warranty, service, retrofit and spare parts supply — we stand behind our machines
A special machine is not a one-off delivery but a long-term partnership. As a German machine manufacturer based in Arnsberg, we take responsibility for conformity, warranty, spare parts supply and modernization throughout the entire service life of your system — typically 10 to 20 years.
These manufacturer obligations are more than a marketing promise: the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC requires the manufacturer to retain the technical documentation for 10 years after placing the machine on the market. The German Product Liability Act establishes the manufacturer's responsibility for series defects throughout the entire period of use. And your production needs a partner who can still supply spare parts and plan modernizations in 5, 10 or 15 years.

What a responsible manufacturer must deliver — and we do
Every machine we deliver carries the CE mark and is handed over with a declaration of conformity in accordance with Annex II A of the Machinery Directive. This is not optional: without correct CE marking, commissioning within the EU is legally inadmissible and represents a liability risk for your operation.
The CE mark is preceded by the risk assessment. We identify hazards, evaluate them quantitatively and define protective measures — mechanical (enclosure, emergency stop), functional (safety PLC, light curtains) and organizational (operating manual, training). We hand over the result to you as a documented hazard register.
We retain circuit diagrams, bills of materials, acceptance protocols, EMC measurement records, the risk assessment and documentation of all safety-relevant components for at least 10 years after the machine is placed on the market — as required by the Machinery Directive. At the request of market surveillance authorities or in the event of liability questions, we provide the documents within days.
Every machine receives a permanent nameplate with manufacturer, year of construction, type, serial number and connection data. Using the serial number, we can assign the original configuration, components used and documentation at any time — the basis for spare parts and proof obligations over many years.
What comes after delivery — in the short and long term
A statutory warranty of 24 months after acceptance is standard. On request, we agree an extended warranty (up to 60 months) including a defined response time in the event of faults. We always cover series defects — even after the warranty period has expired.
Via a secured VPN connection, we access your control system, analyze faults, change parameters or install software updates. This saves travel time and resolves most problems within a few hours. We align access rights, logging and your approval processes with your IT security policies.
When remote support isn't enough, our service technician comes to you. We cover the German-speaking region, with agreed response times from 24 hours. For critical production lines, inclusion in our on-call pool is possible — around the clock, 365 days a year.
Plannable maintenance instead of ad-hoc firefighting: in a maintenance contract we define inspection intervals, scope of testing, spare parts stocking and annual budget. You secure availability and cost stability, and we know your machine inside out over the years.
Extending service life instead of buying new
Obsolete PLC systems are replaced by current platforms. New operator panels, remote capability, modern visualization — without touching the mechanics. A typical investment is 20–40 % of buying new, with productivity gains from better diagnostics and higher availability. The technical basis is provided by our control technology.
Replacing worn drives, upgrading manual axes to servo motors, converting to new tool changers. We analyze the machine, propose the most economical modernization and implement it in a plannable way during your production shutdowns.
Machines built before 2010 often no longer meet the current state of safety technology. We assess your system against EN ISO 13849-1 with a PL evaluation, upgrade it and issue an updated declaration of conformity — so your employers' liability insurance association cannot raise any objection.
We also modernize machines from other manufacturers — provided access to the technical documentation is possible. If the original manufacturer no longer exists or has discontinued support, we take over as your new partner: documentation, spare parts and service under our serial number.
Making availability plannable — 10+ years
For every machine we define a spare parts package: wear parts, critical components, manufacturer-specific special parts. When a component is discontinued by the supplier, we inform you proactively and propose a compatible successor or a stocking-up arrangement.
Using your machine's serial number, we can retrieve the circuit diagram, bill of materials, acceptance protocol and software version even years later. This applies even if the service technician changes or your system changes location — the file remains digital and complete.
With every software change we store a backup. After a power failure, hardware replacement or accidental deletion, your machine is restored to its original state within a few hours. For safety-critical systems we offer software version management with a change log.
Staff turnover on your side means a loss of knowledge. We train new operators and maintenance staff on your specific machine — on-site or via video session. We keep operating manuals up to date when standards change or you modify the machine.
Three phases, one manufacturer
Design, manufacturing, assembly, factory test and delivery with the CE package. In the first weeks after production startup we support your system intensively — fine-tuning, parameter optimization, training. Mechanics:, electrics:.
The machine runs in your production for years. We stay on standby with remote support, spare parts, planned maintenance and fault response. Every change is documented, every spare part installed with full traceability. Your production manager knows: the manufacturer is reachable and responsible.
After 10 to 15 years the question arises: modernize or buy new? We provide the basis for that decision: condition analysis, retrofit quote, comparison with a new investment. A retrofit often doubles the service life for 20–40 % of the price of a new machine — plannable, with no production downtime.
Whether new purchase, ongoing service or retrofit — we are your long-term manufacturer partner.
